About Blue Camoose

Blue Camoose is a landing spot for Jon Hickam’s various bands and music-related projects, part promotion agency, part record label, and part lifestyle brand. The name is derived from the combination of a moose and a camel. These bands regularly gig in Paonia, Hotchkiss, Delta County, Montrose County, Aspen, Crested Butte, Gunnison County, Ridgway, Ouray, Grand Junction, and other communities in the western half of Colorado, at fine venues like The Yarrow Taproom , Paonia United Brewing, The Blue Sage Center for the Arts, and Big B’s Delicious Orchards.

Blue Camoose is a proud member of the North Fork Valley Creative Coalition.

Jon plays acoustic guitar, mandolin, old-timey banjo, chromatic button accordion, upright bass, electric bass, drum set, and analog synthesizers in various genres of music including swing, bluegrass, country blues, gypsy jazz, jug band, punk rock, honky tonk, industrial, polka, and Americana. Jon resides in Hotchkiss, Colorado with his family and dogs and chickens.
